Course outline

Students discover their passion and arm themselves with the transferable skills needed to succeed in the changing, global workplace. Arts graduates find employment in a wide range of fields, with future directions dependent on the chosen area of study. With one of the most comprehensive course offerings in Australia, students have the opportunity to explore the subjects they love by choosing from more than 45 study areas across the humanities, social sciences and languages. Combine the Bachelor of Arts with the Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice and complete two degrees in a shorter amount of time. The Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice is a specialised program of study that prepares graduates for a career as a criminologist. Graduates are in demand in areas including public policy, criminal justice agencies, non-governmental and private sector agencies. As a criminologist, graduates will understand how the justice system works, why people commit crimes, and will have the skills and knowledge to reduce and control crime problems that face contemporary society.
