Course outline

The Diploma in Entrepreneurship aims to provide you with the opportunity to develop your entrepreneurial talent and capability while also providing a pathway into Business, Creative Industries and IT undergraduate degrees at QUT. With a strong focus on developing your entrepreneurial mindset, you will develop the the necessary capabilities to identify and grow entrepreneurial opportunities as well as how to plan, establish, lead and influence others while engaging with the broader entrepreneurship eco-system. Upon successful completion of the Diploma, you will be able to articulate into the Bachelor of Communication with up to 96 credit points of advanced standing. The Bachelor of Communication prepares you for a dynamic career in the rapidly evolving digital media, entertainment, communication, and news landscape. The course integrates professional skills with critical and creative thinking, authentic industry experiences, and digital media literacy skills with core disciplinary theories and research methodologies.

Combined diploma/degrees

Upon completion of the diploma component, you will be automatically offered a place in the single degrees of Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of Communication, Bachelor of Creative Industries, and the Bachelor of Information Technology. Your completed diploma will provide up to 96 credit points (1 year) advanced standing to each degree.
